We’re revisiting one of our favorite and most popular renovation projects from the past few years this week. Part of a multi-phased master plan, this project involved a complete exterior renovation, a kitchen remodel, and more! The final phase, a 564-square-foot luxury home addition with a new patio, was recently completed, and we’re thrilled with how it turned out. Keep scrolling to see the transformation!
Our clients had big dreams when they closed on their new home, and rightly so. While it didn’t quite fit their modern aesthetic, the Tudor-style house had great bones, beautiful outdoor space, and was in the perfect location for the growing family. Having worked with Red House in the past, the homeowners knew our team of experts could help them fully realize their vision for their dream home.
From the start of this project, our clients told us they needed a dedicated space for regularly entertaining large groups of friends and family. And with the first phases of this project out of the way (which was no small task–see links in the intro), it was finally time for the piece de resistance.
To match their gregarious lifestyle, our clients needed an area that felt bright and expansive, that fit the style of the rest of the home yet had its own personality, and could simultaneously feel intimate and open. With this in mind, our designers proposed a luxurious addition complete with cathedral ceilings and exposed beams, a custom bar, and a hand-carved stone mantle–all the way from Italy!
We didn’t stop there, though. The addition’s exterior got the same bespoke treatment as the rest of the home. The board and batten siding differentiates the addition without overshadowing the existing Tudor-style facade, subtly adding a layer of complexity to the overall design. Swing open the double french doors and find yourself on the sophisticated 525-square-foot patio overlooking the backyard–perfect for outdoor parties and weekend barbecues alike.
Build Well. Build Beautiful.
