After completing a kitchen remodel and exterior transformation, our East Greenwich clients came back to Red House to add the final touch – a great room addition and patio. As avid entertainers, this family of three wanted more space for dinner parties and holidays. This new and improved floor plan gave them the space they needed and the style to wow their guests.
Where there were previously french doors to the backyard, our team created a large cased opening leading into the new space. Upon entry, you are greeted by a full-sized bar with seating for 6. Mercury glass behind glass shelves reflects cabinet lighting, giving the space the feel of an upscale cocktail bar. The flooring is a dramatic porcelain large-format black and white tile, which is simultaneously traditional and exciting.
The room ends in a seating area with a subtle but gorgeous plaster mantle and a gas fireplace. Surrounding the room are large 4-lite casement windows and two sets of french doors leading to an outdoor dining area. The exterior of the addition with detailed board and batten siding ties in beautifully with the existing Tudor-style home
