On Providence’s beautiful East Side, a historic home needed a ground-level basement remodel with lots of charm. The home was built in 1900 but the basement had most recently been used as a dentist’s office. The homeowners wanted a finished basement design that matched the rest of the home’s historic style.

A personal gym for home workouts was a must-have. As was a second living room for family entertainment. Architectural details like wainscotting, a fireplace, and the classic arch-shape echoed throughout the space in the doors and windows added elements of style and warmth.
