Employee Spotlight with Veronica, Red House Project Developer

Employee Spotlight: Veronica, Red House Project Developer

In this month’s employee spotlight, we chat with one of Red House Design Build’s latest hires, Veronica! Veronica, a Rhode Island native, joined Red House back in January and has been absolutely thriving on our team. Read on to find out more about what motivates Veronica, where she finds inspiration, and her favorite spots in PVD. Then, when you’re suitably inspired yourself, contact Red House to book a discovery call (you may even get to speak with Veronica)!

Hey there, Veronica–tell us a little bit about yourself. What were you up to before coming to Red House?

Red House Project Developer
Veronica joined the Red House team in January, and is already making waves!
I was born and raised in Providence and from an early age had a passion for interior design, architecture, and artistic expression through dance, fashion, and painting. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are in marketing and I have a certificate in Interior Design from RISD. Although I’ve traveled a bit, I truly feel there is no place like home and for me no better place to experience diversity in cuisine, architecture and nature’s seasons.

I know you’ve only been on the team for a few months, but it feels like you’ve really fit in quickly. As project developer, what all do you do at Red House?

As a project developer I particularly enjoy working directly with clients from the very start and being with them through the journey that makes their vision come to life. It is also very rewarding to work in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and comradery.

As a Rhode Island native, I bet you have some great insights on the best spots around the Ocean State. Do you have any favorite spots?

You may not be surprised to learn that my favorite spot in RI is in Providence, specifically the East Side. I love the local shops on Hope Street and Wayland Square filled with the little eateries and coffee shops.

Is there anywhere in particular you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in nature: the natural colors, textures, and patterns that cross our paths on a daily basis. I particularly enjoy watching the seasons unfold as I stroll down Blackstone Boulevard in Providence. From the ordinary to the majestic, nature moves me.

And just for good measure (because food is one of my favorite things to talk about), what’s your favorite food?

I love homemade pasta and experimenting with different ingredients to create sauces. Cooking is an art and I rarely follow recipes since experimenting is part of the joy of cooking.

You’re not the only one that enjoys cooking–I seem to remember Red House carpenter, Don, also enjoying playing around in the kitchen and dreaming up some fun dishes. Maybe Red House has a knack for attracting home chefs…hmmm.

Anyhow, big thanks to Veronica, Red House Project Developer from Rhodey. Once again, if you’d like to work with Veronica or any of our expert team members here at Red House Design Build, take that first step and book a discovery call today!

Roll Red!
